03.17.2008: Grease is the word. It's official, Skip is directing Summerstage and the show is Grease. Assisting in the production will be Joseph... musical director Anna De Masi. Watch the Children's Theater website at http://www.wiltonchildrenstheater.org for registration dates and other news.
03.15.2008: Candida Closes. Skip's foray into the world of classical theater, George Bernard Shaw's Candida, closed of Saturday night after a very successful three weekend run. Thanks to an amazing cast consisting of Michael Day (Morell), Kim Lowden (Candida), Eli Peck (Marchbanks), John Pyron (Burgess), Victoria Roy (Prossy)and Patrick Kiley (Lexy)and crew with Sarah Friedman (Stage Manager), Kyle Runstetd (Lights)and Tanya Bickley (Curtain).
01.28.2008: Skip at Wilton Historical Society. Details are still in the planning stages but it looks like Skip will be appearing at The Wilton Historical Society in June. More details as they become available.
10.21.2006: Book Signing News.
Book signing at the Library was fun. Great to see some of my friends

10.20.2006: Book Signing at Wilton
Library! Skip will have his first book signing at The Wilton
Library Discovery Day/Children's Book Sale Day. This Saturday from
1:30 - 2:30. There will be books available for purchase and the
Library will take orders if we run out.

08.08.2006: If
Picasso Were a Fish also makes it to Amazon France. Why Amazon
USA won't list it remains a question for the ages.
08.05.2006: If

Why Amazon USA won't list it is beyond me.
07.08.2006: Skip's second book, "If
I Had a Gift" has been released. The story is based
on the birthday books made at Driscoll School.
07.02.2006: The Wilton Open Book Store
is carrying "If Picasso Were a Fish". If they run
out be patient, we are working on the supply chain. You can always
order them online too.
07.01.2006: Saw three cool webcasts
from the 2006 TED (Technology Etertainment Design) conference in
Monterrey. The conference was in February and BMW USA is
making three of the speakers presentations available online at http://www.bmwusa.com/ted.
My favorite quote is from Sir Ken Robinson and it is this, "Creativity
is as important in education today as literacy."
06.19.2006(1): The Wilton Open Book
Store will be carrying "...Picasso..." as soon
as Skip can get them a supply. Should be in a couple weeks.
06.19.2006(2): Skip will be making
an appearance at Bight Horizons on July 30th to read "...Picasso..."
and do a project with the students.
06.15.2006: M. Trebuchet emerges from
reconstuctive surgery with a new maple arm. during surgery
it became evident that the arm, pivot and counterweight need some
serious attention. Mal Pour Les Canards is also up and complete.
Testing commences tomorrow on both.
05.20.2006: "If Picasso Were
a Fish" goes public! Skip's first book for kids of all
ages is published by Lulu Press. Click here to get info and buy
the book.
04. 27.2006: Skip's first book for
kids, "If Picasso Were a Fish" is on track to be published
and available in May. The second book, "If I had a gift
to give." should be out in June.
04. 25.2006: (Mr.) Skip at the YMCA!
Skip will be working at Art Camp this summer at The Wilton Family
Y and teaching afterschool classes in drawing, inventive thinking
and theatre this fall.
04. 20.2006: Skip hits 46!
Skip now realizes that 60 isn't old, it's a goal.
04.16.2006: M. Trebuchet (still undergoing
reconstructive surgery) has gained a little brother "Mal pour
les Canards". It is a kit from Canada presented by the
Howers on the Eve of Skip's birthday.
04.02.2006: "Crossing Delancy"
is the March Playreading at the Playshop (delayed due to a scheduling
conflict) on Sunday April 2nd. Skip directs.
03.15.2006: The Wilton Playshop
taps Skip to direct the summer 2006 Wilton Student Summer Playshop
production.
01.29.2006: Skip appears onstage in
"Mastergate" the January Playreading at The Wilton
Playshop which is directed by Keith Harjes.
11.20.05: Skip directs the first staged
reading in The Wilton Playshop's new "Staged Readings @ Wilton
Playshop" series. The Play? "Camping with Henry
and Tom" by Mark St. Germain, the cast? Incredible.
08.21.05: Skip puts up his first "Deer
Me!" cartoon.
08.17.05: Skip launches Toonafish as a place
to put his "creative" aquatics.
07.15.05: M.Trebuchet put on life
support after tragic throwing beam accident. Throwing mechanism
and weight arm are being rebuilt out of hardwood to allow for more
weight. To date, M.Trebuchet's farthest pitch has been about 70'
with a tennis ball and 17.5 lbs of weight. The accident occurred
when steel weight-lifting plates were added bringing the suspended
weight to some 37.5 lbs.
06.24.05: Modifications to M.Trebuchet
include moving the release point to the end of the base plate,
replacing the pouch (which had seen better days), replacing the
release hook, replacing the release ring and using steel barbell
weights from Walmart (They are cheap and heavy).
06.22.05: The Ploss family aquires
thier first medieval siege engine, a trebuchet, from friends
in Stratford. Skip immediately dubs it "Monsieur Trebuchet".
06.01.05: Skip Produces "Nunsense"
at The Wilton Playshop.
04.20.05: Skip hits 45! Oh

01.15.05: Skip Directs "Wenceslas
Square" by Larry Shue at Wilton High School. The show
is this years Underclassman Theater Project and runs two nights
only, February 24th and 25th in The Little Theatre at Wilton High
School.
